L A Smith is a niche brand of traditional men’s attire, sold primarily through independent retailers. The wide range encompasses ties, bow ties, cravats, shirts, waistcoats, wedding wear, formal wear, dressing gowns, scarves, cufflinks, belts and accessories.
The business was established as Lloyd Attree & Smith in central London in 1857, when tailors and clothing manufacturers were side-by-side with banks in the heart of the City of London. Even today, the Bank of England is located on Threadneedle Street, a little reminder of their former neighbours.
L A Smith has an established collaboration with Liberty Art Fabrics (Liberty of London), and we are proud to have Liberty ties, bow ties, pocket hankies and waistcoats in our collection.
Henry John Nightwear is an upscale brand of men’s dressing gowns. With a strong focus on heavier-weight cotton fabrics such as velour and luxury towelling, the designs are contemporary, stylish and informal.
The collection debuted at Moda in Spring 2017 (see image) and new styles are being added regularly – including a new super-luxury low-twist towelling for AW17.
